The Foundation was presented with a plaque recently for giving over $100,000 to WSU students.  On behalf of the Foundation, President “Clem” Crowston thanks WSU  for the recognition.
Following is a “bio” that WSU uses on their web site.

The Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation of Washington supports and invests in future generations through education. Last year, the foundation award 139 scholarships and graduate fellowships to deserving students across the state, including students enrolled in College of Nursing. Through the generous support of the Scottish Rite Foundation we are able to provide much needed scholarship assistance. Their dedication to professional nursing education makes it possible for our graduate students to pursue excellence. In addition to nursing, students enrolled in speech therapy/speech pathology programs at WSU can apply for a Blankinship Fellowship, which is funded by the Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation. Scottish Rite is part of the Masonic Fraternity and, as such, its focus is philanthropic. Masonic organizations sponsor a variety of philanthropies, including scholarship programs, and perform public service activities in their communities. Their humanitarian commitment is demonstrated daily. The Freemasons of North America contribute more than $2 million a day to charitable causes.
